This project challenged us to research a notable typographer from a curated list and design a tri-fold brochure that showcases both the designer’s legacy and one of their signature typefaces. I selected Frederic W. Goudy and centered the entire visual system around their typeface, using it exclusively throughout the brochure to highlight its personality, structure, and versatility.
The brochure includes a front cover, back panel, and inside spread, all crafted to reflect the typographer’s style while presenting biographical context, historical relevance, and typographic characteristics. While we had creative freedom with imagery and layout, the use of the selected typeface remained central to the project’s concept.
This piece demonstrates thoughtful integration of design history & research, visual storytelling, typographic consistency, and creative composition across a multi-panel format.
Note: This project was created in Adobe InDesign & Illustrator.
